How to turn the SIM PIN on your Samsung Galaxy Note9 on or off
The SIM PIN protects your SIM from unauthorised use if your phone should get stolen. If the SIM PIN is turned on, it needs to be keyed in when you turn on your phone.

Slide your finger downwards starting from the top of the screen.
Press the settings icon.
Press Biometrics and security.
Press Other security settings.
Press Set up SIM card lock.
Press the indicator next to 'Lock SIM card' to turn the function on or off.
Key in your SIM PIN and press OK. The default SIM PIN is 0000.
If an incorrect SIM PIN is entered three times in a row, your SIM will be blocked. To unblock your SIM, you'll need to key in your PUK. Sign in to the O2 website to get the PUK. Please note: If you key in the wrong PUK ten times in a row, your SIM will be blocked permanently. In this case, you need a new SIM from O2.
Press the Home key to return to the home screen.
