O2 Rewards Programme - Pay As You Go - Full Terms and Conditions
The O2 Rewards Programme (the “Programme") commenced on 1st April 2005 and will run on an ongoing basis.
O2 reserves the right to withdraw or amend the Programme at any time. Notice will be given via text message to customers who have registered for the Programme and will be effective immediately.
The Programme is open to all O2 Pay As You Go customers (but not Pay As You Go customers on a mobile broadband tariff) who may have to opt in to participate in the Programme (depending on their tariff) via a free text message. Customers will receive confirmation of opt-in, via text message, once their opt-in has been accepted.
Eligible customers may either "claim" rewards as free calltime ("Claimed Rewards"), or "save" rewards to use for the purposes listed in Clause 14 of these terms and conditions ("Saved Rewards"). Together, Claimed Rewards and Saved Rewards shall be "Rewards".
Quarterly periods exist during the life of the Programme only and are as follows: 1st January to 31st March, 1st April to 30th June, 1st July to 30th September and 1st October to 31st December (each a "Quarter").
Saved Rewards are not available indefinitely and shall expire 2 years from the date at which they are saved. There are no cash, credit or compensatory alternatives for expired Rewards and customers are advised to use up Saved Rewards prior to their expiry.
For new connections to O2 Pay As You Go, customers who opt in to the Programme will earn Rewards equivalent to 5% of the value of their total top-ups during each Quarter. Once these customers have been connected to O2 for more than six months, Rewards earned shall increase from 5% to 10% (the “Rewards Value”) per Quarter. O2 reserves the right to increase the Rewards Value.
Eligible customers may join the Programme at any time. Rewards will be based on total top-ups made during each Quarter. For the first Quarter, Rewards will be based on total top-ups made from date of opt-in up to the end of that particular Quarter.
The maximum limit of Rewards that can be earned per Quarter is £150 per customer.
The maximum total limit of Saved Rewards at any one time is £550 per customer. If you attempt to save your Rewards from the previous Quarter and this would take the total of your Saved Rewards above the £550 limit then you must first use some of your Saved Rewards before you can save further.
During each redemption period, you will be sent a text message confirming your Rewards earned for the previous Quarter. You must follow the instructions in this text message to either claim or save your Rewards.
Redemption periods for claiming or saving Rewards are 4th April to 30th June, 4th July to 30th September, 4th October to 31st December and 4th January to 31st March. Rewards must be redeemed within the relevant 3 month redemption period outlined in this clause. Rewards that have not been claimed or saved at the end of each redemption period will be lost.
Saved Rewards may be used towards: free calltime on the mobile number registered for the Programme, purchases of a selected range of discounted goods in O2 stores, ticket vouchers to selected through Ticketmaster and/or selected high street vouchers. These shall be subject to availability and may each be subject to separate terms and conditions of purchase and use. Cash or credit alternatives shall not be available.
To use Saved Rewards as free calltime, the maximum amount per transaction is £150.
Any Claimed Rewards or Saved Rewards which are added as free calltime will not count towards qualifying top-up spend.
To use Saved Rewards for ticket vouchers and/or high street vouchers you will need to do this online at www.o2.co.uk/rewards
High street vouchers shall be available in selected denominations only and will be subject to a minimum value of £10.
Ticket vouchers are subject to a minimum value of £10.
If you choose to claim your Rewards or use your Saved Rewards as free calltime, it will not be possible to request a refund once this has been credited to your handset balance.
If you use your Saved Rewards for ticket vouchers and/or high street vouchers these may not be returned, exchanged or refunded.
To be eligible each Quarter, you must stay connected to O2 Pay As You Go on your current mobile number until your Rewards have been claimed or saved. If you change your O2 Pay As You Go mobile number during a Quarter you will not be eligible for any Rewards earned against the old mobile number at the end of that Quarter.
If you change your O2 Pay As You Go mobile number during the Programme you must opt-in again on your new mobile number. Rewards will be earned from your new opt-in date to the end of that particular Quarter.
In the event that you opt out of the Programme you will immediately lose your entitlement to all your Rewards.
In the event that you opt out of the Programme and subsequently opt back in, any top ups performed during the period in which you were opted out will not earn a Reward.
Customers may use any combination of top-up methods: E Top-up, credit/debit card, voucher, ATM, Web and Mobile Top-up or any other new top-up medium supported by O2.
If your mobile number is barred or you fail to top-up in accordance with the terms and conditions of your calling plan your entry into the Programme will be invalidated.
Rewards may only be used in conjunction with your existing O2 Pay As You Go mobile number and cannot be transferred. No cash alternatives will be given.
O2 accepts no responsibility for any tax liability caused/incurred by an individual or business relating to this Programme.
By entering into this Programme, you will be deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by these terms and conditions. All entry instructions are deemed to form part of these terms and conditions.
During each Quarter, O2 will keep you informed of your Rewards balances from time to time by text message. By participating in this Programme you agree to receive text messages relating to the Programme. Your information will be used in accordance with our Privacy Policy. O2 reserves the right, where it considers there to have been any breach of these terms and conditions (or your O2 Pay As You Go airtime terms and conditions), any fraud or any abuse of the Programme, to refuse any application or to seek reimbursement of any Rewards.
Unless otherwise stated, free calltime delivered as part of any other O2 promotional offer will not contribute towards your qualifying top-up amount in relation to this Programme. Similarly free calltime delivered via this Programme will not contribute towards top-up requirements for other O2 promotions.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is held invalid by any law, rule, order or regulation of any government, or by the final determination of any court of a competent jurisdiction, such invalidity shall not affect the enforceability of any other provisions not held to be invalid.
The Programme is governed by English Law and is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
